Unidentified man in mystery plunge at Bangkok mall

There is only bewilderment at this point about a man’s plunge from the fifth level of CentralWorld in Bangkok on Thursday afternoon (February 20).

The only details available as of publication time were that a witness on the third floor saw him falling shoeless from above and he was unconscious on the ground level.

Department store staff applied first aid and sped him to a nearby hospital.

The incident occurred just as an upcoming half-marathon event was being announced over the mall’s public address system.

Well it wasn't superman. The trauma these people place on the innocent who have to watch this is hideous.

If you're going to try to kill yourself please don't do it where you may fall on someone at a mall.

And jump from a high floor. I guess >= 10 will do the job for sure.

That's why Central in Pattaya moved their food court.

was it intentional or was he skylarking on the railing or escalator ...   ?

Following falling from heights now for 15 years on Thai Visa - I can confirm that falls from above the 4th and 5th floors of buildings result in death. Falls from lower levels lead to horrific crippling injuries. The human body suffers badly from anything above 6 feet or 1.8 MTRS

I agree. Imagine some poor child witnessing this. What's with all the selfishness with suicides?

It was a child who fell! Not an adult male

Wow, CentralWorld isn't having much luck. A man jumped off and also a report recently of a kid falling from the 3rd floor.
