People return train tickets to stay home to help govt fight Covid-19

People have been going to Hua Lamphong Railway Station in Bangkok to refund their train tickets and refrain from travelling after the government asked the public for cooperation to stop Covid-19 from spreading.

There is big concern that many workers will return to their hometowns outside Bangkok, which could aid the spread of the virus. The workers have lost their jobs following the closure of some businesses and aim to return to their hometowns in other provinces as the cost of living there is a lot less expensive than in the capital.

What a terrible piece of reporting. How many people? & What percentage is this of all travelers? Or is this another feel good story planted by the government (e.g. Taxi driver returns 20 expensive watches to fat government official who fell asleep in back of car.) to shame people into staying in Bangkok?

The darkies from Africa that the Australian government have let in do that all the time in Melbourne.

oh well... that scenario was/is commonplace irrespective of Wuhan. What's more worrying, and in a real sense; is the 31000 Chinese students who managed to cram themselves back onto planes, and sneak back into Australia during the wholesale rush to arrive -  before the Non Citizen/Resident turnaways began (it gave the same sense of terror as if 10 cruise ships were docking all at once)
