Covid-19 and Pattaya: Bang Lamung now has 11 cases

 

 

Thai media reported that there has been an increase of eight more cases of coronavirus in Chonburi bringing the total in the province to 38.

 

The eight new cases were reported yesterday. There have been 11 cases reported in Bang Lamung that is essentially the Pattaya area. 

 

Seven foreigners have been diagnosed with the virus in Chonburi: They comprise two British nationals and one each from Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden and Japan. 

 

Thirty six of the 38 cases are currently in hospitals, two have recovered. 

 

Eighteen of the cases are related to the boxing event that took place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on March 6th. 

 

Four cases are said to have caught the virus at pubs and clubs. 

 

Some 693 people are under close observation. 

 

Muang district of Chonburi has reported 21 cases, SriRacha 2, and one each from Phanat Nikhom, Phan Thong and Sattahip. One was included in the figures even though it was Rayong.

Or the large number of those ill at home and not tested not being reported.  Are you trying to downplay the significance?  What's the point??

All the cases quoted recently seem to go to hospital where we know only a small proportion need to go to hospital so basically under reporting of cases, maybe if they said that Thailand has significantly higher numbers, same as UK has done

If you get infected, have mild syptoms and then get over it - can you still infect despite recovered?

 

And are you inmune from it then afterwards?

 

I guess it's the question/s  needs answering.

once cleared you are no longer infectious 

 

yes you will have a high level of resistance unless the virus mutates significantly

Like any SARS, corona viruses once you have recovered from it, it means your body has fought and won against the infection, built an immunity to it - the virus is dead. Your immune system knows how to repel it.  I am not sure though if you encounter a mutated version of COVID19 if your body can repel that, or perhaps adapt faster to it.  That's what I have read so far.  

It is not like HIV.  It is mostly usually curable by your own body's immune system.  Some will die as pneumonia gets them. Usually elderly and with comorbid conditions.

What a load of trash,I stated in earlier thread (halted) that re-infection was a more deadly threat than first time around

  Also that statement from health minister Handcock,re Nadine Dorries being cured was a total fantasy,she is now more of a threat of death than before.

   Not furthering this,but the other animal virus proved how wrong statements of a cure are.  Will be up and coming flavour of the month ,the re-infection rates
