Non-O (marriage/multiple) extension to 1 year, must proof that 400K thb comes from Abroad??

Featured Replies

I have a Non-O (marriage/multiple entry) Visa and want to extend it to 1 year, as I know I have to show them a Thai Bank account with min. 400K thb./already 2 months on account.

I'm living in Bkk.

My questions:

1. Do I have to proof that the 400K was transferred from Abroad?

2. Do I have to show/proof every 3 months that the money is still at my bank account?

Thanks in advance!

No to both of your questions.

Just prove the 400k baht for 2 months before the day you apply and possibley on the day you get your extension stamp at the end of the 30 day under consideration period. After that you can do what you want to with 400k baht until 2 month before your next extension.

Thank you @ubonjoe for your quick and detailed reply!! ????

By any chance do you have any knowledge how fast banks issues letter of proof for 400k that have stayed for 2 months? I own account ant Bangkok bank.

Is it possible to get letter of proof the same day as you walk in to the bank in the CW complex?

They do them while you wait. Same for the branch at CW which I assume is open.
