Featured Replies

Svay Rieng Provincial Health Department has quarantined 174 Chinese nationals to ensure they are not infected with COVID-19 upon their arrival in Bavet city last night, an official said.

Keo Ratha, director of Provincial Health Department, said that 174 Chinese tourists have been quarantined since yesterday at a hotel in Bavet city after they travelled from Phnom Penh. He said that health officials are checking their health.

“We found two Chinese nationals with body temperature exceeding 38 degree Celsius. Now they are being isolated at the provincial referral hospital,” Mr Ratha said, noting that samples were sent to Pasteur Institute.

How long had this huge Chinese tour group been in Cambodia already? Bavet is east of PP and the border crossing with Vietnam so where were they going?

And to think that some people fled to Cambodia for their safety.
