City authorities inspected several thousand shops and found 87 were not complying with rules in place to curb the spread of Covid-19, while social-distancing measures were applied at different community pantries.

Metropolitan Police chief Pol Lt-General Pakkapong Pongpetra said on Wednesday (May 13) that inspection after some measures were lifted on May 3 showed that 12,000 shops in Bangkok were complying with the Public Health Ministry’s regulations, and only 87 were not.

He said if the government eases measures in the second phase, police will wait for clear directions before making plans for the future.

Pakkapong also said that police and volunteers have been told to monitor the situation around community pantries and ensure social-distancing is maintained after photographs of people crowding the area for their share of food was shared on social media.

Yes, they do. It's a not a problem now. Just reopen all the businesses locally and wait for the international amelioration of COVID situation to open the borders, so life could go back to old normal.
