The Social Security Dept in my country will not issue statements regarding Pensions to Disability and Age Pension recipients,so yesterday I flew to Bangkok and went to the Embassy to do an Affidavit, which supported by my bank transaction statements would suffice ,but the consular official told me that Thai Immigration has knocked this approach back numerous times lately.

So back to the drawing board with time running very short now,

We have been to the Revenues Dept. and they will issue the wife with documentation and receipts of tax paid for the next 12 months (in advance) showing income from the farm of 45K per month.

On Monday we will go to Vientienne and hopefully get a 3 month Non Imm-O , near the expiry of that visa I will apply for a one year Non Imm O on the strength of the wifes proven income of 45K per month.

Might this work or is there a big hole I havnt anticipated.??

Cheers

You can not obtain a paper showing your monthly payments? How can that be? You just take your payment on trust? You should have some sort of paperwork that can back up your statement of income. It should not need to be anything special but support to what you provide as your mouthy pension on Embassy paper.

Believe they want to see tax already paid and currently require last years tax payment document from recent postings from Sunbelt so not sure if the advance payment will fly or not.

Centrelink payments are credited to your bank a/c fortnightly with increases in CoL automatically dialled in,details are available from there website.

Veterans Affairs will provide information but recipients of that pension are under no restriction re living abroad whereas Disability and Age recipients are by law only supposed to be abroad for a maximum of 13 weeks (was 6 months) then you are supposed to return to Oz,failure to do so (if found out ) is reduction or stoppage of payments.

So as you can imagine it is pretty hard to get something out of the ordinary from the Dept. without rocking the boat.

My mate in Oz tried on my behalf but had to back off when the officer started to quiz him about (why on earth would I need that information in writing).

If the details (I assume in form of monthly payment statement) are on web just print them out and use them for support paperwork - or does you Embassy refuse to sign off on your statement without something else?

I do see why you can not press for any out of the ordinary paperwork if stoppage is a feature of your pension system.

It might be easier to use Singapore or KL to obtain multi entry but give the extension a try using the tax payments you have made - it may work and if not it should at some point in the future.

We did the first tax return back in February at 21.5k per month and took the papers into Immigration at Nong Khai to check if they met their approval but he refused to look at them and demanded that the farm be registered as a business. This we have done and the increase in income is that more ponds have come on line and more saleable size fish are available.

Its going to be a toss-up how it goes but its my last toss of the dice as its getting just to hard ,I just dont need the continual hassle.
