Corruption

Tha Thai Minister of development is showing the Zimbabwean minister of development round Bangkok.

After a long day scrutinizing the inner-city expressway system and grand department stores the Thai minister invites his Zimbabwean counterpart for drinks at his edge of town residence.

The Zimbabwean minister is impressed at the Thai minister's extravagant, spacious and beautiful home and asks; " How can you afford all this on your government salary?"

The Thai minister takes him out onto the rear balcony and motions into the distance;

" You see that bridge over there? I pushed that contract through", he winks, " 10% to me".

The Zimbabwean minister leaves impressed and a year or two later has the pleasure of a visit to Zimbabwe from the Thai minister.

After showing him some new accomplishments in the capital they proceed to the Zimbabwean minister's residence which is even larger and grander than the Thai Minister's mansion.

"How can it be?", asks the Thai minister, " on such a meagre government allownce?"

They move to a back bay window overlooking a river and the minister points.....

" You see that bridge? "

The Thai minister scans the area then turns to The Zimbabwean minister; " What bridge?"

" Exactly " smiles the Zimbabwean minister " 100% "
