Floods in Cambodia kill 24 people

Floods triggered by torrential rains have killed 24 people in Cambodia.

 

A tropical storm brought torrential rain that has fallen intermittently for more than one week. Flood damage has been reported across the country, including the capital, Phnom Penh, where a river overflowed.

 

Cambodian media report that the floods have inundated about 60,000 homes and forced more than 26,000 people to evacuate.
