North Pattaya road bus station to Bangkok (Mor Chit)

then bus to Udon.

Better to go Air Asia, Nok etc. :D

If you do go, then take a bag of bananas, a bag of

sleeping pills and an empty (leakproof) bag :o

Naka.

There's a bus company that operates some nice VIP buses between Pattaya and Suvarnabhumi Transportation Center and between there and Nong Khai. They're yellow color, but don't remember what number if any. I think maybe the company name is '999' or is that even the company name or just some designator? Anyways, probably someone from Pattaya knows more about these buses and where you can pick them up and buy a ticket. If you want to take a bus to Udon, I'd recommend this one as it looks to be much nicer/comfortable than most of the other buses. Don't know if they actually stop in Udon at the bus station, but they certainly should be able to drop you off as they're passing by Udon if not. Imagine there's a bit of a wait at Suvarnabhumi, so check the schedule to see if it's good for you or not.

There is a bus service (VIP + normal) direct to Udon.

Drive from Pattaya Klang on to Sukhumvit (left) and after about 500 meters there's a gasoline station on your left (I think it's Petronas). This gasstation is also arrival and departing station for these busses, including a small ticket office. Have no idea abt the prices. A friend of mine uses it regularly and i've not heard any complaints.

Does anyone know what time the bus from Pattaya leaves to Udon Thani, ideally i want an over night one, if one exists???

Pretty much every hour - even if you just get bus to BKK to Northern Bus Terminal (Mor Chit) you can change for a bus to Phitsanulok they leave every half hour. Udon is just over half way (3 hours) into the journey to P.lok. cost approx 250baht. There really is no difference between what are called the VIP buses compared to standard.

Kiosk for ticket is at the far right of the line of kiosks on the ground floor outside the bus terminal. (Kiosk numbers 40, 41, 42)

Hope that helps.

If you go to the top of Pattaya Klang (middle road) and make a left onto Sukhumvit the first petrol station on the left (bout 100 m along sukhumvit) has a bus service running up to Udorn........the bus you want is the 409, you can prebook a seat and they leave at various times in the evening . ...........office is on the left as you enter the petrol station..............dont have the phone number though.
