neytil
Hypothetical scenario: Is the following possible without leaving country. 1. Hold Non-Imm B with work permit and 12 month extension for work. 2. Retire, cancel work permit then change reason for extension to retirement. 3. In the future, job arises, apply new work permit, and change reason for stay back to employment from retirement.
KhunKenAP
No problem I have done. Went on retirement visa in May 2007, back to work permit in Aug 2010. Note: Keep in mind if you work for 12 months and retire again, you can apply for Thai Social Security medical. Cost normally around 460 baht per month. Need to apply withing 6-months of leaving your job. Everything including medicine covered 100%.
orchidlady
Did you do this by yourself or with an agent? What immigration office did you do this at?
