60 Day Tourist Visa - Vientiane - Laos

Hi,

I remember reading of a few peoples problems gettin tourist visas @ the Thai embassy in Vientiane, there was some rule of 4 per passport unless you had your bank book with you? Is this still in place or is there anything else one should know about before booking flights?

I'm currently on a non-imm B single entry from KL & already have 4 tourist visas issued in Vientiane in my passport the most recent being early '06.

Most reports from Vientiane this year have been positive.

So ya think I am going to need a letter from my bank saying I have 600'000 in it? or will a bank book do?

This is what they were mumbling on about last time.. "Mr... Have new rule for tourist visa".

I don't believe you will need anything but the normal passport/photo/fee. Vientiane has been very good at tourist visa issue this year.
