Two brokers arrested for bringing 14 illegal Cambodian migrant workers to Thailand

Banteay Meanchey provincial police investigated and cracked down on illegal immigration in Malai district by arresting two brokers who smuggled 14 workers across the border into Thailand illegally.

The operation took place at 7 pm on March 15, 2021 by the police force of the 815th Border Guard Battalion in collaboration with the officers of the Department of Internal Security of the Malai District Police Inspectorate and the Malai District Military Police under the leadership of General Ek Sam Vanvirak, Head of Internal Security Department.

Colonel Ben Sam Ath, Malai District Police Inspector, said that the among the two suspects were: Chak Vy, alias 09, male, 41 years old, living in Sangke village, Boeung Beng commune, Malai district, Banteay Meanchey province, as the ringleader.
