Hi! I have a six month old laptop that I seldom use. Today when I on it, I see the start up window od windows XP but after a while the screen blank and nothing happens. Tried a few times and still the same. What to do?

insert your startup disk that the computer came with then boot it from the disk

Press F8 just before windows starts to load and try boot into safe mode for a start.

You may need to change the Boot order and set the DVD before the Hard Drive.
