I use 008 for the best rate 5 baht a minute to the US and Europe which is just stupid expensive. Assuming you have DSL or better the best bet is to use a VOIP like Skype or Yahoo Voice. I use yahoo and pay 1 cent a minute to the US and europe

Rates to Europe depend on what country you are calling! Calls to some countries are pretty expensive even if they are considered discount prices.

Until I left LOS in May 2006 I found that the CAT phonenet card to be the cheapest for calling to the UK, I think it was 6bt per min from either a landline or your mobile. They're still way behind the UK, to call UK-Thailand I pay 1p per min. If you can set it up VOIP is very cheap, as shah jahan says.
