VocalNeal
Just wondering if anyone else's shopping scooter final drive sounds a bit rough is spun up slowly on the stand or turned by hand. Mine has a definite bearing in casing type growl. Oil is new. I know they are cheap and build to a price but.. Oh and 12,000 kms. Maybe it just needs some new bearings? Popular Post canthai55
Had it happen to my PCX last fall. Growl, Grind, Rubbing sound. Was the output bearing behind the clutch. Shop took it apart, replaced, also did the movable sheave as it had some grooves in it, and new weights and arms just because. And a new belt for the same reason - it's apart, so why not. 32,000 Km - cost 1856 THB
VocalNeal
OK so I assume any decent shop will have some experience with that. I'll get that done before I start on the variator tuning.
canthai55
I used Nat Motors CNX - where I bought the PCX and CRF They are not too bad at all. Just tell them to not touch the chain adjust as it is always too tight. Besides that - satisfied with their work. Engine work I would use a specialist shop
VocalNeal
The oil came out black. Not sure why unless someone put some GL5 transmission oil in and there is a bronze busing in there somewhere. Or rather there used to be a bronze bushing in there. I'll go to Honda and spin the wheel on a brand new one and see what is sounds like.
