Pakinai Apartments Rachapakinai Rd.

Had to base myself in CNX for a few weeks so took out one of their apartments for a month. 4000B plus 2000 deposit.

Went to move in, they couldn't even find the key. They used the spare key to open it and the key was in the plastic holder next to the door that's used to keep the power on (the same as in a hotel). So I took it and said that's fine.

One week in and the hot water in the piss-weak shower wouldn't work. Told them and they didn't even bother to look at it, never mind fix it. They just gave us a key to the room next door and told us to move in there. Fine. Gave them back the key to the 1st room and they wanted the key card for the front door(that's never locked). Told them that they didn't give me any kind of key card and politely reminded them that they couldn't even find the key to the room when I moved in,and the key that I FOUND in the room didn't have anything like that on it. They said Fine, don't worry about it.

3 weeks inand I had to go to another city for a few weeks so left the room with a GF. She's was gonna follow me after the month. I rang them a few days ago to tell them to give deposit back to her minus the elec and water bill (300B they said).

She checked out they only gave her 1000B. Keeping 700B for themselves. She wouldn't tell me why but wanted to show me the bill.

Lost key card 400B

Broken Window 150B (It won't lock and apparently we did it even tho we opened the window once when moving in and had it open ever since - fan room)

Broken toilet 150B (the water backed up and filled it just before I left and the GF just left it - they have a mentainence man staying there to fix these kind of things.)

All in all it was my worst ever condo rental in LoS and I would NEVER EVER EVER stay there again... and would reccommend others to stay well clear.

Good to know where not to go. But at the same time it sounds like the worst thing about this place was the constant let-downs and then that it was probably a dump. As far as losing 1,000 baht, I've heard ALOT worse here. Alot. Especially when you talk about accidents, buying houses, forming companies, investing in projects around town, and all that kind of stuff. All in all you got some good learning experiences out of it. Probably best to chalk it up to that.

Jesuz.. When I walk away from a rent deal and lose only 1000 baht then I'm throwing a party and ringing the bell.

Exactly. Most times i have got next to nothing back.. :o Standard here for me..Sad but true.
