webfact
Picture: Sanook A great granddad in Muang district of Buriram told his two great grandsons aged 7 and 4 that he didn't have 20 baht for them to buy sweets. Not to worry, said Lin, 70, who decided to leave them at home while he pedalled off to find his wife who was working as a maid nearby. He told the little boys to look after his daughter who is mentally handicapped. When Lin returned he was aghast to discover that his home was on fire and the boys were waiting for him to come back with the money outside. He grabbed his very heavy daughter and carried her to safety then with the help of neighbors tried to put out the flames. Ban Yang sub-district policeman Capt Khattiya Petchkla arrived and found the fire had been put out but there was widespread damage, reported Sanook. Picture: Sanook "A" aged 7 fingered his younger brother "B" aged 4 as the culprit. He said that he had got some kindling from the stove that was alight and had put it in a mattress. Lin didn't want to blame the little boy for what he did saying that his grandsons were bored and distracted as he rode off to get their sweet money. A local official suggested that the little rascal had seen something on TV and copied the behavior. One unidentified man did some handy pointing at a stove in the kitchen, lest their be any doubt. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-08-12 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

richard_smith237
It never ceases to astonish me the juvenile absentmindedness and utter lack of responsibility of those who ‘should’ be responsible. Leaving such young children in alone in a house is utterly careless, leaving children alone in the house with with ignited coals makes one simply shake their head in astonishment. It’s fortunate we are not reading a far more tragic story.
Moonlover
He left a 7 and a 4 year old to look after a disabled girl, whilst he pedaled off to find some 'sweetie money!' There's only one person guilty here!
