bbabythai
One of our staff members has a son who had symptoms of covid last night. She slept in the room with him last night. This morning she purchased a 300 baht test from the pharmacy and its positive for covid. They are all going to the private hospital now to get a PCR test. Our business is closed on Mondays anyway. We will tell her not to come to work tomorrow of course at which time she will get the result. Can I assume that she should self quarantine for 14 days- starting from today?. If she is staying at home for this period how often should she get tested within the 14 day period? Is it acceptable to only use the cheaper 300 baht tests? Im interested to know some opinions. Its the first time we've had this situation affect our business. thanks
Popular Post Chomper Higgot
She herself may have been infected and infectious for some days. I would seek medical advice from a doctor but it might be prudent to keep your business closed a day longer while you get all your staff, and yourself, tested,

Thus no exposure to us. I just heard the govt health office visited their home and took him to hospital.
geisha
For peace of mind I would get all staff tested. Certainly the mother should isolate and re test.
cardinalblue
Sounds like she got exposed after she was at your premises meaning no exposure to your inhabitants… lucky she told you vs just showing up in person and telling you later…
brewsterbudgen
When one of my students tested positive, the entire class and all the other teachers and support staff who'd had any contact with him in the preceding week were tested. No one tested positive.
