KRABI (NNT) - The Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister has officiated the opening of a Damrongtham Center in Krabi province. This center was set up to provide assistance to villagers and accept their complaints, with most cases relating to occupational land rights.

 

As part of the mobile Cabinet trip, the Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) Theerapat Prayurasiddhi visited Krabi province’s Damrongtham Center located at Ban Ko Kwang - Ban Laem Pong community center close to the official Cabinet meeting site.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Theerapat met with some 20 villagers who visited the center to lodge complaints about occupational land rights, capitalism, and community enterprises, among other topics.

 

The OPM permanent secretary said complaints lodged by the villagers will be forwarded to the Prime Minister, and will later be assigned to related government agencies for rectifications.

 

Villagers filing their complaints will be able to track the progress of their cases in real-time.

 

So far, the government’s 1111 complaint center run by the OPM has received some 100,000 complaints, around 90% of which have already been resolved. The remaining cases are mostly related to a legal matter which requires more time to process.
