Stargeezr
Well the international tourists and local drinkers will like the 2 extra hours for sure. I just heard that 2 more of my friends just died so they will not be coming back to Thailand for more fun, Winter holidays.
Skeptic7
Should never have reduced it those 2 hours to begin with. 11pm before, then 9pm for 3 weeks, then 11pm again, then this, then that. Flip flop, lip service, ridiculous covidiocy rules and restrictions, then flip flop, more lip service and on and neverending on it goes. Just shut up and open up and learn to live with it already. 1

champers
It is actually the national government who have approved the extended hours. There is some online chatter that Governors may be given the power to extend hours even further, at their discretion, so don't be surprised if 1am closing time is in force a week from now. Sandbox status, Chinese New Year, kerching, kerching.
Golden Triangle
Sorry, I'm still not going out for a meal or a drink until this stupid requirement to have a test is done away with, not because I worry about the result, I test at home & am so far clear, just the imposition on bars & restaurants to have to carry the financial burden of this stoopid idea. SidJames
I'm not going out until people stop dying full stop. Bars open, children going to school????? Madness I say, complete madness. What will they think of next? It might be a good idea to put all foreigners into permanent quarantine isolation until no one dies any more. It would save the hotel industry, clean all those dirty banks accounts out & keep the place clean. Win win as far as I can see.

It does not seem to be enforced particularly seriously.... from a mainstream central Pattaya eatery, a small rural one out of town, and a large well known expansive place on a main highway.... none have asked me for an ATK test, have yet to have one even mentioned.
