Snake AND crocodile - busy day for Thailand's animal catchers!

Siam Rath reported on the latest activities of the rescue foundations who catch animals that invade Thai properties. 

 

In their first report 57 year old Wian Kaewkhong in Chang sub-district of Songkhla, soputhern Thailand, found a four meter long King Cobra sleeping beside his house.

The giant serpent tried to flee the scene and reared up showing its hood in defiance. But the snake catchers were experienced to handle the situation.

Meanwhile it was not a snake but a baby crocodile that appeared in a drain in Udon Thani in the north east. 

 

An owner of a Moo Katha restaurant found this critter behind the restaurant.

 

It was only a foot long and the rescue foundation planned to hand it over to the Livestock Department.

Poor crocodile.  I wish they would let them live free again....they are native wildlife here...plenty of nature reserves they could re introduce them. 

 

It's just going to end up in a filthy overcrowded crocodile farm to get fattened up for meat and leather..
