Chonburi – Police chased after an intoxicated man over two kilometers before finally catching and arresting him in the Panat Nikhom district early this morning, April 7th

The Panat Nikhom Police was notified of a domestic disturbance incident at a house on Panat Nikhom – Koh Poe Road in the Na Ruek sub-district around 1:00 A.M. today.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene to find the man suspected of a public disturbance who was later identified as Mr. Pongsakorn Saminyae, 35, in his house in an agitated state. When Pongsakorn saw police with special equipment, he ran away from the house and crossed the road into a nearby forest, refusing police orders to stop.

So, the police (presumably sober?) took two (2) kms to chase a man pi$$ed out of his mind before they caught up to him???

This is the second recent police report that has mysteriously referred to the police's "special equipment." This time it made a p*ssed-up man run away from them for 2km. What is this magically fearsome equipment? I think we should be told. (Probably a taser...).

Depends on what he had consumed, some of it is as potent as jet-fuel.

False News - there's not one cop in Pattaya could run 100 metres. I'd back myself to outrun Plod and I'm pushing 80.

I would run, too!

Kudos to the police for not giving up the chase, but I do worry about how common methamphetamines seem to be here causing people to do a lot of crazy things.
