The Bureau of Public Health and Environment urges pet owners in Pattaya with a registered address to have their pet vaccinated or neutered to prevent rabies this month, April 2022, at the following dates and facilities.

  • April 25th at Wat Sawangfa Phruettharam Temple 9 AM to 2 PM
  • April 27th at Wat Phothi Samphan Temple 9 AM to 2 PM

The pets must be over 3-months-old, and healthy. For cats and dogs, must be over 6-months-old, Thai breeds, healthy, and abstain from water and food for 8-12 hours. Those with female cats or dogs can only have two vaccinated, whereas those with male cats or dogs can have as many as desired.

Alright, alright, I had the cat done already! Missed that free one though!

When I first read that headline & missed the word "pets" & was wondering why city hall wanted everyone sterisized until I read the article.

<deleted> the pets (92% have no owners anyway), what about the pensioners?

Do you want to have them sterilized too?

If they don't take viagra, they don't have.

Sad people actually have to be advised to do either.

Why only Thai breeds?

This sterilization and vaccination of dogs and cats should be implemented in all of Thailand. If the dogf or cat has no one that claims them they need to be impounded for a certain number of day before euthanizing them. Pet owner should be held accountable.

Thailand - Buddhist, they don't kill things for no reason.  I don't disagree with you, just accept that it will never happen.

Eh? Could you elaborate as I don't understand the point you're trying to make?

I was only joking, after you talking about  sterilizing dogs and talking about old people.

I'm sorry if it's misunderstood.

so where can we bring any animal that we find to vaccinate for free ?

why the sxumbags in this city cannot organize a totally free 7 days a week vaccination place ?

having to wait for a special day or pay to vaccinate a street animal is only a decision taken by idiots, which is not a surprise.

Guess it depends where you live, as where I am, they do vaccinate the soi dogs.  Or did after the last rabies outbreak, as haven't paid attention recently.   All the soi dogs had plastic band & vax tags.
