Pattaya – An early morning fire damaged the room of a female police officer at the Pattaya police dormitory yesterday morning (April 22nd).

 

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 4:00 A.M. at the Pattaya police dormitory near Pattaya Beach Road, behind the police station on Soi 9 and across from the Central Pattana mall.

Firefighters with multiple fire engines and the Pattaya News team arrived at the scene to find lots of smoke coming out from the building.

Electrical fault while charging, so I presume no RCD cut out fitted, smoke alarms, or sprinklers installed, Safe and Trusted Thailand.

A fire in a police dormitory would not disturb Pattaya Plod - they sleep soundly with a clear conscience.

If you have ever seen the "Police Dormitory" in Pattaya you'd agree that it is probably one of the ugliest buildings in Pattaya.  Soviet Era gulag style.

I bet that's really pretty area.  A lot of nice little islands within the Naval base and two golf courses.
