Kraidaj Bunnag

The Central Administrative Court has overruled, on the grounds that it may not be legal, an order by the Election and Bangkok Election commissions, disqualifying candidate Kraidaj Bunnag from standing in the upcoming Bangkok gubernatorial election on Sunday.

Kraidaj was barred after election officials discovered, during the screening process, that he holds a stake in a media organisation, which is against Section 55 of the local councillor and administrator election law.

The court ruled that disqualifying Kraidaj from standing in the election has rendered the candidate ineligible and has deprived voters of the right to vote for him.

Amazing how many candidates are disqualified here. Is Thailand the "hub of electoral disqualification" too? Most of us know this nonsense is all about. It has very little to do with the law, fairness or equity, and likely has everything to do with power grabbing, corruption and partisan tomfoolery.

But would you buy a used car from him?

hmm...:

Thanathorn was among the MPs elected in the 2019 vote. One month later, the Election Commission accused him of holding shares in a media company, V-Luck Media, when he registered as an MP candidate, which would violate election laws and disqualify him as an MP. On 20 November, the Constitutional Court convicted Thanathorn, disqualifying his MP status

(from Wikipedia)

They disqualify who they want, and retain who they want.

Likely neither new or used. Likely would not buy a used book from him! How many politicians these days pull their weight? Anywhere?

Thailand politicians, need to have a heart beat and be rich, plus connections

to qualify. I guess that is almost the norm for the world.
