Phuket - The Phuket International Airport has announced they will hold a fire practice which will include a significant amount of smoke as part of the drill.

 

The Phuket International Airport today (May 19th) has announced that they will hold a fire drill on Tuesday (May 31st), 2022 at 10:00 A.M. to midday near Runway 27.

Quite why this makes the news I don't know, most airports hold emergency scenarios as a matter of course for personnel training..

As a manager and first aid responder we held monthly training sessions in partnership with the airport fire department.

Training would be anything from fires, accidents, whatever.

Twice a year we held a major aircraft crash disaster, which also include outside fire departments, hospitals along with the police.
