autonomous_unit
Call your local travel agent. If you don't have one, try Diamond Star Travel in Hollywood (near Thai Town). They've always found us reasonable rates on Thai Air. I don't have their number handy but look them up; they've been around for years. They might be listed under Star International as well... I can't remember.
paoa
Call FlightCentre (626.568.9047) and ask for Maile. FlightCentre is an Australian travel company that is trying to break into the U.S. market. They guarantee the lowest flights available. I use them all of the time and get great deals.
curveblade
Prices I came up with are $1075 from Lax to Bkk. Strange as it may be, prices from North Carolina is $971.00 which is 3000 miles further away. And even that is up $10.00 from May 2004. This should be about the average cost give or take a little. dfwbkk
I've used these guys my last two trips over: ThaiFly. Checking today they got rates of $725 flying JAL - departure in July, about another 100 bucks if flying Thai, NorthWest or AA. /// DFW
Explorer
Go to Google and type " Cheap Air Rates to Asia" <---- that may give you more options on cheap air rates from US to Asia. Explorer
Scalawag
I've flown the LAX - BKK route 3 times on Eva. I found they were consistently the lowest price and was never disatified. As an added incentive, I read that they've never had a crash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
