snoop1130 Posted August 15, 2022 Share Posted August 15, 2022 A wild elephant calf was found dead in a pond of a local farm in Tha Takiab District of Chachoengsao on Monday, August 15th, presumed to have drowned while swimming with its herd on Sunday night. Thakiab district chief Rasmin Pruksathorn along with wildlife conservation officers arrived at the scene this morning after being notified by a local villager of the body of a baby elephant floating in the pond on their farm. Farm owner Kraisorn Dusadee, 47, told officials that local residents heard dozens of elephants coming to swim in the pond but all of them were afraid to come out and witness the incident. They waited until the morning and discovered the calf floating in the water.
