Football - In the EPL Arsenal go back to the top after a convincing 3-0 win at Brentford and Everton recorded their first win of the season after beating West Ham United 1-0 at Goodison Park. Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the Madrid derby to make it six wins from six in La Liga.

 

Napoli are top of Serie A in Italy on goal difference after beating AC Milan 2-1 at the San Siro. Atalanta who are joint top  won 1-0 at Roma , Jose Mourinho was sent off for the home side. In France, Messi scored the only goal in leaders PSG's 1-0 away win at Lyon.

 

English Premier League side Brighton have appointed former Shakhtar Donetsk and Sassuolo boss Roberto de Zerbi as manager.The Italian, 43, has been out of work since leaving Shakhtar in July because of the war in Ukraine. De Zerbi has signed a four-year contract at the Amex Stadium, subject to a work permit.


Fifteen-year-old Ethan Nwaneri became the youngest player in English Premier League history in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Brentford. The English attacking midfielder, who was born in March 2007 is 15 years and 181 days old and came on as a late substitute for the Gunners.
