Thailand's foreign minister says he will personally ask President Joe biden to attend the APEC meeting due to take place in Bangkok this November.


His comments came after Biden’s office said the president would attend the G20 summit in Bali but then fly straight back to the U.S. 


Other regional leaders are expected to attend; these are likely to include Vladimir Putin and possibly  Xi Jinping.

 

The Myanmar model Han Lay who was detained at bangkok airport last week and faced being deported  to Myanmar,  says she is now being looked after by officials from the UN’s refugee agency at the airport and is seeking political asylum in Canada.

 

Thai Farmers have asked the government to help regulate the price of cannabis the value of their crops dropped, they claim there is oversupply now that the public are allied to grow their own plants. 


Government is pressing ahead with expanding  3 main airports, Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang and U-Tapao,  ahead of an expected increase in passengers during the high season, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi will be able to handle  up to 120 million passengers per annually in the coming years.

A lots of weather is being sucked towards the typhoon from southern Thailand which means much of the south 


Can expect heavy rain over the next few days.
