transferring pics in gallery to new phone?

Always seem to transfer jumbled up with some taken years ago at the top and others with very wrong dates taken on them Is there a way of re organising them?

I save photos to folders such as Thailand2021 etc, then it's an easy case of copy and paste to backup source or new phone

Do you refer to filenames or date/time from the EXIF data in the files?

 

I always do automatic renaming after copying pictures based on EXIF data.

Of course if the time/date setting in the camera/phone was wrong this won't help (maybe in your case)
