She can purchase travel health insurance before she comes....her travel agent should be able to assist....

I was quite prepared to foot the cost of anything medical with my missus....but she never needed to see a doctor...

In the same senario a while back. Looked into quite a few and found NOMADS to be the better of them. Can even be purchased while she's here.

One thing to keep in mind is the change of climate expecially this time of the year, had a mate who's girfriend was from the tropics caught the flu, turned out to be she developed quite a case of phemmonia. I got some travel inurance for my wife (although we were going to Venice - so it ma be completely different in Oz) but you can buy it for the exact number of days she'll be there, and if you get a basic one it's surprisingly cheap.
