French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, have taken legal action against Candace Owens, accusing her of defamation. The lawsuit, filed in Delaware Superior Court, centres on Owens’ claims, which question Brigitte's gender. Owens broadcast a controversial YouTube video titled "Is France’s First Lady a Man?", which quickly gained traction among her millions of followers.

 

Owens has continued to produce content and sell merchandise supporting the unfounded theory, causing significant distress to the Macrons. The lawsuit alleges she has deliberately brought these allegations to a broad audience, causing "substantial economic damages" and threatening future opportunities for the couple. Owens, undeterred, hinted at further commentary on her social media platforms.

 

Despite receiving evidence disproving her allegations, Owens has refused to issue a retraction, according to the Macrons’ lawyer, Tom Clare. The evidence confirms Brigitte was born as a woman named Brigitte Trogneux and refutes absurd claims of influence by unknown forces. The suit seeks punitive damages, aiming to hold Owens accountable for her "relentless" defamation campaign.

 

This legal battle is not an isolated incident; Brigitte previously faced and initially won a similar case against two French women. That case is now in appeal. President Macron, at a recent event in Paris, expressed how such misinformation infiltrates their personal lives, creating unnecessary upheaval.

 

As the lawsuit unfolds, the Macrons emphasise the severe impact of these false stories, describing them as invasive and dehumanising. The French government, considering the lawsuit a private affair, remains silent. Meanwhile, Owens’ ongoing commentary ensures continued public attention, blending notoriety with the potential for commercial gain.

I wonder if any journalist has asked Macron the ultimate question - what is a woman? 

On the balance of probability, I'd say the wife is a woman.

 

1.   The punch she threw at Manny on the plane lacked both power and technique (the only "man" I've seen with such a pathetic technique is 2 Tier Keir). 

2.   If she was a man she would have probably been charged with grooming a minor from a position of trust. 

3.   Few men live to such an advanced age. 

 

She's definitely a wrong 'un though. 

 

A DNA test by someone trustworthy and

a peek between its legs , will prove what that ugly

What a blunder. This suit will only enhance Candace Owens's profile. She's pretty marginal right now. The Macrons just made her a superstar. And since this is in an American court, the discovery process can only hurt Marcron. Owens already has no respect.

Macron caught between two terrible choices. 1) Go ahead and sue and be humiliated in the discovery process or 2) withdraw the suit and make Owens look like she was right all along.

Well, she was looking very dashing when he met her. Also she's intelligent as him. They fell in love and still married. Congrats to them.
