The Thai Cabinet has declared November 16th to 18th during the APEC summit as special holidays in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan. In essence, this means a five-day holiday weekend for many in and around Bangkok and those trying to get out of the big city as world leaders converge on Bangkok. Local hotel leaders in Pattaya have already reported strong demand for hotel rooms across Pattaya during the holiday period. In Prayut's mind this is his big moment to shine on the world stage.
