Pattaya City is getting ready for an influx of visitors during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit special holidays.

Good for Pattaya but normal life in Bangkok is disrupted and billions are spent on this non-event. In Prayut's mind this is his big moment to shine on the world stage. The general population in Thailand could not care less, same for the rest of the world whose media will give the event little more than a passing mention.
