APEC-CEO Summit to consider private sector report Thursday and Friday

A report to APEC economic leaders, prepared by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), will be tabled for discussion at the APEC-CEO Summit, scheduled for today (Thursday) and tomorrow.

 

According to Kriengkrai Thiennukul, head of ABAC, the private sectors of the 22 economies in the Asia and Pacific regions have compiled a report covering five main issues and 69 sub-issues, highlighting the urgent issues for APEC leaders.

 

He said that urgent issues concern inflation, the energy crisis, food shortages and climate change, adding that the report was made against the backdrop of global conflicts and economic connectivity, which pose numerous challenges.
