An unidentified homeless man was caught and aided by Pattaya police after causing concerns to beach goers with his bare body.

The unclothed man aged 30-40 years old was spotted on Pattaya Beach in front of Soi 12 last night, November 23rd. Concerned beach goers called Pattaya police to check on him as he seemed lost, dazed, and confused and needed help.

The officers arrived and gave clothes, food, and water to the homeless man. After finishing the meal, the man was taken to a homeless center. He did not give any sort of identification or answer any questions. The man was also not aggressive and very calm but detached.

No drug test? No arrest after not answering any questions? No medical help given?  Just dropped off at shelter.  Good police work.

What would you advocate? Lock him up for being homeless and apparently depressed?

From the article:

"Police decided not to charge the man with any crime as they believed he was suffering from a mental illness and needed assistance instead."

So they helped the unfortunate guy with some food, water , clothes, not much else the could do really?

Why would they arrest him? He is probably very ill and have no place to stay. Since when do police start to medicate people? He was taken to a shelter, and I am pretty sure they can deal better with the situation.

"dazed and confused" says the article. It must be Jimmy Page; a Pattaya regular.

How would being arrested help this guy? Jail probably isn't the best place for someone with possible mental health issues!!

Better than nothing, sounded like fair treatment.

He said, have you seen my wife, she's got a Styrofoam box.

Going by the photo above, this poor guy is just a shadow of his former self.  ????

Compassionate and reasonable action by the police, well done.

Agreed Mikey. The BIB, for all their faults, are not social workers.

Likely same in many countries.????????

I used to see a stoned person walking around naked quite often 25-35 years ago.

Then I ceased looking at the mirror????????
