Police in Nakhon Phanom stopped and arrested Two 21 year old’s at a checkpoint in close to the Mekong river. The two were carrying 257 kilograms of dried marijuana in 1 kilo bags. They told police they had collected the drugs from the bank of the Mekong. 

 

The body of a 39 year old man reported missing 3 days ago was found half submerged in a paddy field. In Nakhorn Tatchasima.   


Police were called and found the body in a shallow grave,  a small tent and alcoholic drinks were close by.  The man had left home with friends and officers believe he may have died following an argument. .

A woman in Saraburi was arrested after she allegedly set up a fake Facebook page in the name of a woman who turned out to be a senior police officer.


The woman named Kanjira sent messages to the officer's  friends, asking for help, however Kanjira didn’t realize the woman was a police officer until she was arrested.

 

The NBTC Broadcast regulator say the sports authority cannot walk away from returning 600 million baht provided by the NBTC for the purchase of broadcast rights to the world cup, 
The Sports authority granted exclusive rights to True Corp, to broadcast the matches. However True obtained a court order preventing other IPTV companies from relaying the games, the case is likely to go to court.

 

A leading doctor at Chulalongkorn hospital says Covid 19 is now becoming seasonal similar to several respiratory infections, and most likely to occur during cooler months  between November and February. 


He added vaccines would not stop or contain the pandemic but they were very effective at reducing symptoms and reducing the number of deaths.


There were 107 covid related deaths last week, and 385 people were currently on life support.

Fairs that range from 16 – 44 baht will rise to  17 – 47 baht.
