A popular personality online was sentenced to 54 years in jail for money laundering and promoting online gambling involving some 1.7 billion baht in bets. 


The man named Siapo, aged 30, was among 21 defendants named in a lawsuit filed yesterday, all denied wrongdoing, 


Siapo’s wife and brother also received jail terms; others were detained and denied bail. 

Prime minister Prayut is in Brussels where he attended the 45th meeting of the EU-Asean Business Council 


The PM encouraged Europe to expand its investment in infrastructure development in Asean and Thailand.

Hong Kong: A court yesterday ruled the police decision to ban a Tiananmen vigil last year was unlawful, as it overturned the conviction of a jailed democracy activist Chow Hang-tung.


Chow, a 37-year-old lawyer and one of Hong Kong's most prominent democracy activists, led a group that used to organise the city's annual candlelight vigils to mourn those killed in Tiananmen Square.
