INN reported that Ruam Katanyu rescue services and Lam Hin police in Nong Chok, south eastern Bangkok, were called after a one year old girl was attacked by her stepfather.

 

The infant had a dislocated leg and arm and was taken to Nopparat Rajathanee hospital in Ram Intra after no suitable doctors were available at another hospital. 

 

The attack happened at Building 4 of the Nong Chok housing estate. 

 

Police are investigating.

I wonder what the general Thai prison populace think of this person's crime and whether the person as to go into solitary like countries like the UK to protect them from assault or worse

How depraved must somebody be to want to do this to a one year old ? This disgusting individual should be put inside for a long time. Meantime, where is the girl's mother ?

I understand the rage, of course, but this is not the FIRST time this has happened.  

 

OK, this entire thread is about killing the guy.......  but what about the other kids hurt in the last zillion years.  Did anyone help them or stand up to their abuser?

 

we get mad for 1-minute then move on........

 

it takes real energy to make a difference.   only in our home country.  protest, organize, get something on the ballot, make a real change...

 

everything else is just like a RIP message on YouTube after people die.

Think you are baking up the wrong tree mate. In the UK he would plead he had a mental illness and get a cushy mental hospital for a short time

Women in Thailand often work long hours, while their deatbeat husbands/boyfriends drink, gamble, and/or take drugs.

No, in the U.K they have specialists who determine whether a person has a mental illness and whether they are fit to stand trial

Actually that is a valid question. Does someone here with relevant knowledge tell us what normally happens to abusers and rapists in Thai jails?

They are incarcerated with the normal prison population.
