Daily News reported that Lumpini police in the Thai capital Bangkok arrested a security man at Lumpini Park who stabbed his supervisor to death after allegedly being overworked and criticized.

Sawat Sriratchalao, 44, was charged with murder and a 33 cm long knife was taken into evidence along with clothes, boots and a Honda bike and helmet.

He was arrested at a room in Soi Klapchom in Chong Nonsi, Yannawa.

He said he was a security guard at the parking lot and had had run ins with his boss about being overworked and was often sworn at.

He was of previously good character with no criminal offences against his name.

Overworked? They just sit on their butts and usually sleep. Must be a bit grumpy when he is woken up???

They don't like criticism of any sort.

Ego big as a balloon, without any merit to it.

Most people if they don't get on with their boss swallow it or change jobs. Most people don't kill them.

quite a fortunate trend, if you think about it.......

Looks like his track record just took a dive.

Whatever the reason is, its most certainly not a reason to kill some one. You can also say to the boss "go <deleted> yourself and then leave the job.

Possibly cracked because of the embarrasment of being sworn at all the time .....

as I've said before .... they are uneducated hillbillies because they never think about the concequences after the attack,  murder, jail,  loss of income, family ......   none of that is considered.

Wonder when a 33cm knife becomes a sword ????Rip

Just look at the guy - 44 years old ? The daily stress of managing a small car park has obviously got to him.

Joking aside, this is obviously a tragic overreaction and incident but overall I do wish Thais would speak up/stand up for themselves more against their "superiors". It seems a societal problem to bottle things up until the explosion comes...

An overworked security guard? That's a new one. Most seem that bored that they can hardly keep themselves awake.
