The first team of 42 Thai rescue workers, from the Department of Public Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, will leave Bangkok for Turkey tonight (Thursday) to help in rescue and relief operations, following the devastating earthquake, according to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

The Thai Government has also donated five million baht in relief aid to Turkey through the Turkish ambassador in Thailand, while Prime Minister Prayut has expressed condolences to the Turkish Government and people over the tragedy.

The team of rescuers will be taking rescue equipment, relief materials and medical supplies.

Such generosity.

A little late me thinks should of been there within hours of it happening it is highly unlikely that there will now be any survivors but I suppose the Thai government will say “ Better Late Than Never “ RIP to the poor souls who perished sadly there will be a lot more deaths due to the freezing temperatures, lack of shelter and lack of quality clothing  ☹️☹️☹️☹️  5 million baht donation will just about feed one meal to all those left homeless how embarrassing are you sure it wasn’t 5 billion baht

That's pretty unfair, they didn't want everybody turning up at the same time, it has caused more Chaos than help in previous disasters, things need to be coordinated. This is why other countries were waiting to be 'invited' by the Turkish Government. This is not just about finding survivors, but the dead too. those that did survive need help. Also the dead need to be moved from the streets.

Sorry, Somchai, no pork until you get home.
