Prawit Wongsuwan wants you to forget his past misdeeds, don’t

Prawit has been trying to distance himself from the 2014 coup over the past few weeks. It began with the infamous ‘he did it’ photo when he pointed his finger at Prayut during a censure debate in July 2022 and said that it was Prayut who conducted the coup, not him.

To his credit (or discredit), Prayut raised his hand and defiantly said he it was his idea to overthrow an elected government.

But that doesn’t take away from Prawit’s actions. And over the last several weeks we have seen why. It seems that the one-time general is determined to rebrand himself as some kind of reconcilliation candidate, hoping that people forget his role both in the coup in 2014 and the red-shirt crackdown in 2010.

Why not? He has.

Krue Se and Tak Bai occurred on his watch as RTA headman.

His excuses in his wristwatch affair are unforgettable. If the intellectual level wasn't so real, it would be Comedy Gold.

I think a good new democratic Government should prosecute the whole bunch of coup players and liars... Watch affaire, Covid handling, manipulation of laws, and so many other things.. even they could not swear a good oath... Don't forget that... a reason more to show that people did not forget it and don't vote for these men

Please, forgive me, I will wai to you all and give fruit baskets....

His best friend  "he did it"?  wow

what a farce

Like every good General does, commands from the back row and throws the rest under the bus.

Let me see???  An article in a mostly foreigner read online forum about Thai politics telling us to remember that Prawit was by Prayut's side the whole way.  Ok, I won't forget, but then I don't vote either.
My daughter has a handy saying on her facebook page, "Don't bitch without a pitch".

It's none of my business so I'm not going to bitch. I've learned to work with what I've got to deal with.

Well....it's the best that the ruling class has to offer.

There are bountiful options, alternatives and opportunities if they were allowed to be.

Unfortunately, the in-family feuds are easily digested and a greater distraction regarding bigger pictures.

Looks like a dynamic leader. If he sleeps during the day, what does he get up to at night?
