A survey conducted for the Move Forward Party indicates  their proposal to eliminate military conscription has broad support among the general public. The majority of parents of Thai males aged between 21 to 29  agree mandatory two-year military service obstructs their pursuit of vital job and education opportunities, and hinders their capacity to provide for their families.

 

The father of murdered 22-year-old Chinese student Jin Can arrived in Thailand yesterday to give his statement to the police, a Thai bar girl, who was thought to have been involved, was taken to court.


Meanwhile 3 chinese suspects in the case have been arrested in Wuhan and will likely face trial in China.

The Food and Drug Administration has warned consumers to avoid three hair-dyeing products that contain cancer-causing chemicals. 


The hair dyes are brown and imported from a south Korean company called ‘Seedbee’


The administration also warned the public against buying uncertified beauty products. 

 

Thailand says it will continue with negotiations for peace in the far south, after attending a meeting in Kuala Lumpur where the rebel group the Barisan Revolusi Nasional  BRN failed to show up for peace talks.


The mediator of the meeting sayd the BRN failed to show after appointing a new leader.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says China is set to invest an estimated 38.64 billion dollars in Malaysia, with funding likely in the petrochemical and automotive industries, 


Anwar said that he proposed setting up an "Asian Monetary Fund" at the Boao Forum in China last week, the proposal was welcomed by President Xi Jinping as an idea to be discussed further.

Chiang Mai and the north:  Sunny, hot at 38 degrees
The Air quality index is still red, purple and brown, air quality could be hazardous across much of the north. 
Bangkok:  Sunny,..  a very hot 38 degrees. 
Much the same in Pattaya and Phuket, with temperatures around 33 degrees                                                  
and.. ‘Hua Hin’ : Sunny,  34 degrees.
