Siam Rath reported that the head of the Center for People Protecting the Thai Monarchy went to the central police investigation office in Chatuchak to file a complaint against a French man.

They wanted action against Yan Marchal after he posted a 41 second clip with 3-4 Thai people.

It was a song allegedly critical of the Thai monarchy and they wanted all of them prosecuted under Section 112, the lese majeste law.

The media said that Yan Marchal, 50, lived in Thailand for 18 years as a computer program developer.

He is now in France after being deported.

He famously ruffled feathers with a song in Thai several years ago that criticized the government of Prayuth Chan-ocha.

Siam Rath said he was working with Thais who "don't love their country".

Mr Marchal boasted to his 32,000 followers on Facebook:

"My first 112 case (that I'm aware of). I made it! Thanks Anon".

The police received the complaint.
