A Thai man on a motorbike rear-ended a pickup truck that was making a U-turn in Sri Racha and passed away.

The fatal accident, which occurred on a road within the Nong Kham sub-district of Sri Racha district, Chonburi province, was reported to Sri Racha Police at 05:00 AM on Saturday, May 20th. The police coordinated with rescue workers from the Puthasamakhom Foundation and rushed to the scene.

At the accident site, police found a black Honda PCX motorbike lying in the middle of the road surrounded by scattered bike fragments. Its frontal part was demolished. The police also found a bronze Izuzu pickup truck with a crumpled rear parked on the road near the motorcycle.

"Motorcyclist dies in Thailand".

That supplies several dozen news stories every day ...

U-Turns..... and trucks..... deadly combination. But my Mrs swears by them, an opportunity to make her own U-Turn by being on their inside, as they block 5 lanes and pull out in front of the fast moving traffic, providing excellent cover. .

I've got déjà vu.  I worry sometimes that I've got a kind of old-age Alzheimer's and keep reading yesterday's stories today.

Which will never make it to English language news. Media presence makes the news.

Terrible full speed pickup crash at a traffic light in our district town, three dead and many injured in a bus. Never appeared anywhere in English.

Sri Racha Police questioned the involved driver of a pickup truck, Mr. Somchat Ruemsri, 35, about the accident. The man claimed he was heading for a U-turn in the middle of the road after finishing filling up his gas tank when the deceased suddenly rammed into his rear.

Could also read: I left the gas station in dark night and turned onto the road without proper care. Of course this is pure speculation. Could also be motorcycle headlight dark plus high speed.... Who knows. One gets dull from all these news.
