When i married my wife w e went to the registry office with two of her friends and it was all over in about 15 minutes ( the most miserable bloke youve ever seen did it for us). The 4 of us then went out for a quick meal as the two friends had just come out of work for an hour for lunch.

My wife told me the registration was not important for most Thais but the big show of face party is. She was happy with just the registration and I just wanted it all legal to show her I meant it.

If the party type wedding has no legal meaning how do they get on when they separate?? Ie division of what they owned?
