A SAUDI ARABIAN man was arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport this evening (June 15) after 99 wild animals and 90 aquatic animals were found in his suitcases just as he was trying to catch a flight back to his home country, TV Channel 7 said.

Airport officials inspected the three suitcases the unidentified Saudi man checked in at the international departure hall after one of them became suspicious about what they contained. Upon opening them they found a total of 189 wildlife and aquatic animals worth 259,200 baht in them.

He was about to catch Saudia Airlines, flight SV845, to Jeddah.

Saudi nothing will happen ???????????????????????????? RTP & Immigration + Thai Government Ties with Saudi

Anyone know what fine - or years in prison - you'd get if a jinjok crept into your suitcase ?

So they know just how much they are worth, can they sell them in the hood, as in the frozen fish case ?

I see some Tokay and Ahia;s ... don;t they have those in SA...?

Never knew that they were so valuable ...

Correct, a slap on the wrist, and an email to the Saudi Authorities. That way they are not responsible for any repercussions. Plausible deniability, and let his home country deal with him, unless of course he has ties there.

It would be helpful if the reports specified what the 'animals' are.

According to the picture caption it was two humans,!
