Yes, three of my Thai neighbours told me that they were each 15,500 baht (1.084 trillion : 70 million) richer now (or was it 15,500 baht more in debt?)... Well, big numbers!

Great news for a small group of very rich people.

How do they count this?

i guess the legalisation of weed has helped. maybe that is why chonburi is having trouble with those naughty arab drivers.

And the household debt of the Thai tourist went up .75 trillion Baht. .

Would be interesting to see the numbers of Thai tourists..

I've been pulled over by cops 3 times in the USA.

I lived in Kuwait 6 years and Abu Dhabi 2 years as well. Never talked to the cops.

I bet I have been stopped by cops almost 100 times in Thailand.

Road trip to Surin or Ko Chang? Not a matter of IF, but WHEN will the suicidal BIB run out in front of me?

I have not been pulled over since pre-Covid, or paid any stipend for over 6 years. You must be  a frequent user of a lucrative road.

How many 800,000s is that?  My interest on this deposit is taxed; can I claim it back?

Yes you can claim back withholding tax if annual income is below the threshold.

Kind of puts the Household Debt which stands at a whopping 16 Trillion into perspective

All my money is generated in UK so otherwise have no Thai income.  Do I qualify?

Only a trillion baht! Clearly foreigners aren't contributing anything to the economy, better start charging them a 300 baht entry fee ????

Soo.... Are they complaining because they want more than 1T THB? or is good news? 555555

sometimes I don't get how much greedy they can turn to be.....

Yes, you have to fill a tax form in. First step is a COR from immigration. Tax certificate(s) from the bank showing tax paid. I stopped doing it because interest rates went so low, the rebates weren't worth the effort. The tax office were interested if I got a UK State pension as they thought that would mean I was liable to pay them than claim back.

Must be some truth in it, we received an email from airbnb the other day,
