Where To Stay In Phuket / Bkk

Featured Replies

Hi all

My better half and I will be travelling to Phuket and Bkk 3 days / 2 nights in phuket. i am looking at staying at the JW Marriott or the Hilton in phuket. All we wanna do is relax chill out on the beach some water sports etc ... which one is better ? hilton with the ocean view is a lil cheaper than the marriott.... what else would you all suggest for phuket ? oh we will be getting tattoos aswell either in phuket or bkk ... some thing not to big ....

After phuket we head out to BKK reah 16th afternoon and depart on the 18th evening, there i am looking at the marriott or the holiday inn near the sukhmovit road ... which is better ? the rates are almost comparable ... anything else in this range .. .BKK will be all shopping and having a good time ... maybe the night and the weekend market as welll//// any suggestions / feedback

I can only comment on the Bangkok choice: I would prefer the Holiday Inn on North Ploenchit Road. It's next to the Intercontinental, actually linked to it. And it is in walking distance to several shopping malls (Gaysorn, Central World) or within 2 Skytrain stops to other malls (Paragon, Siam Center / Discovery, MBK etc).

North Ploenchit is the continuation of Sukhumvit.
